Rates & Insurance

Insurance

I am considered out-of-network with all insurance plans. I have found that not being stuck to a contract with any insurance companies, has allowed me the ability to provide individualized and specialized care for my clients, not being dictated by a fortune 500 company. I’d rather be able to provide excellent treatment to a smaller number of mamas, leading to them feeling better quicker, than line the pockets of CEOs making billions of dollars.

I am, of course, happy to verify, submit, and accept payment for any plans that allow it. Please reach out for a Free Consultation and I am happy to check your specific plan benefits to determine your actual cost, as there are many plans where your costs could be similar to your typical co-pay after any deductible that exists (See below for details on popular payment plan options).

Fees for Weekly Individual Therapy Sessions in 2024

50-55 minute virtual (secure zoom) session: $350

60 minute walk & talk session: $600*

Sliding Scale availability

At this time, all of my sliding scale slots are full. It’s difficult to anticipate when those slots will become available. I hate that finances get in the way of quality treatment, feel free to e-mail me and if I can work within your financial situation I will (see payment plan options below), or I can provide some trusted referrals. I’m happy to help any way I can!

Payment Plans

Many insurance plans do have great OON benefits. One example being NYSHIP. Over the years, I have worked with many moms who have this plan (and others) with moderate deductibles. A deductible is what you owe out of your pocket before your insurance plan pays for any services. A really popular option is $100/session for the first 10-15 sessions, depending on the plan, and then once insurance starts covering our work together, clients are only responsible for the copay, usually $50-100/session (for the 55-minute sessions only). Of course all of this depends on the particular plan and coverage, so I’d be happy to look at each plan and give a better estimate.

*unfortunately insurance does not cover walk & talk sessions at their full-rate. We can discuss anticipated out-of-pocket costs during the consultation once we assess if walk & talk would be beneficial.

Good Faith Estimate

A new consumer protection law called "The No Surprises Act" went into effect on January 1, 2022. Here's the notice I have to give you about the law:

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit cms.gov/nosurprises.
